Getting Started

What is HostOps?

HostOps is an AI guest concierge trained specifically on your property. Guests scan a QR code and ask anything — WiFi password, hot tub instructions, local recommendations, checkout time — and get instant answers 24/7. You stop getting texts at 2 AM.

How long does setup take?

Most hosts complete setup in 10–15 minutes. You walk through a guided onboarding that asks about your property, amenities, house rules, and local area. Atlas (our AI) pulls everything together into a knowledge base.

Do I need to be technical?

No. If you can send a text message, you can set up HostOps. The onboarding is a conversation — you answer questions in plain English, Atlas figures out the rest.

What if I have a PDF or document with property info already?

Upload it during onboarding. Atlas will extract the relevant details and add them to your knowledge base automatically.

How It Works

How does my guest access the AI concierge?

Every property gets a unique QR code and link. Print the QR code and put it in your property — on the fridge, welcome note, or next to the door. Guests scan it, open a chat in their browser, and start asking questions. No app download required.

Does Atlas know MY specific property, or is it generic AI?

Your property specifically. Atlas is trained on your knowledge base — your WiFi password, your parking rules, your hot tub brand, your nearest hospital, your local restaurant picks. Generic AI like ChatGPT can't know any of that. Atlas does.

What types of questions can it answer?

Anything in your knowledge base: check-in/checkout procedures, WiFi credentials, appliance instructions, house rules, parking, emergency contacts, local dining, activities, troubleshooting. It also handles phrased-differently variations of the same question.

What happens when Atlas can't answer something?

Atlas will tell the guest it doesn't have that information and suggest they contact you directly. It never makes up answers or guesses.

What about real emergencies?

Atlas can provide emergency contacts immediately (fire, police, nearest hospital, your after-hours number). For anything beyond that, it routes the guest to you. Atlas handles routine questions — you handle real situations.

Knowledge Base & Training

How do I update my knowledge base after setup?

Log in, go to your property dashboard, and start an onboarding session to add or update information. Changes take effect immediately.

Does HostOps know about my specific appliances and devices?

Yes. HostOps includes a built-in device library with troubleshooting guides for 25+ common devices: Nest/ecobee thermostats, Schlage/August/Yale smart locks, Roku/Fire Stick/Apple TV, Keurig/Nespresso, Jacuzzi/Hot Spring hot tubs, Ring/Arlo cameras, and more. Atlas auto-detects which devices you have and uses the right guide.

Can I add local restaurant and activity recommendations?

Yes. The Referral Links feature lets you add links to your favorite local spots by category (dining, activities, services, transport). Atlas includes your specific links in guest answers when relevant.

Can I see what guests are asking?

Yes. Your dashboard shows knowledge gaps — questions guests asked that Atlas couldn't answer, ranked by frequency. It's a live list of what to add to your knowledge base.

How much does HostOps cost?

$50 per property per month after your free 30-day trial. No per-message fees, no hidden charges.

Is the free trial really free — no credit card?

Yes. Start your trial, set up your property, and test everything with real guests — no payment information required. You only pay if you decide to subscribe.

What happens when my trial ends?

You'll get an email before your trial expires. If you choose to subscribe, you enter payment info and continue. If not, your account pauses. No automatic charges.

I manage multiple properties. Is there volume pricing?

Yes. For hotels or portfolios with 10+ properties, contact us for custom pricing.

Can I cancel any time?

Yes. Cancel from your dashboard at any time. No lock-in, no cancellation fees. If you cancel mid-month, you keep access through the end of your billing period.

Privacy & Security

Is guest conversation data private?

Guest conversations are stored securely and used only to help you understand what guests are asking (via the knowledge gaps dashboard). We don't sell or share conversation data.

Do guests need to create an account?

No. Guests just scan the QR code and start chatting. No sign-up, no account, no friction.
