Terms of Service

Last updated: March 2026

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of HostOps, operated by ResponseOps LLC. By creating an account or using the service, you agree to these Terms. If you’re using HostOps on behalf of a business, you’re agreeing on that business’s behalf too.

What HostOps is

HostOps is an AI-powered guest concierge and property management assistant for short-term rental operators. It lets you build a knowledge base about your properties, generate a QR code for guests to scan, and have an AI handle common guest questions 24/7 on your behalf.

Acceptable use

HostOps is built for short-term rental property management. That’s the sweet spot.

You agree not to:

  • Use HostOps for any purpose other than managing STR properties and communicating with guests
  • Upload illegal content, or content you don't have the rights to
  • Attempt to reverse-engineer, scrape, or abuse the platform
  • Impersonate HostOps or use the AI to deceive guests in harmful ways
  • Violate any applicable laws or regulations in your jurisdiction

Your responsibilities

You’re the property manager. That means the accuracy of what you put into HostOps is on you.

  • Keep your property information accurate and up to date
  • Don't add false, misleading, or dangerous information to your knowledge base
  • Make sure you have the right to share any content you upload (photos, manuals, etc.)
  • Keep your account credentials secure — you're responsible for activity under your account
  • Comply with all local STR regulations, permits, and hosting platform rules

AI limitations — important

HostOps uses AI to generate responses. AI can make mistakes.

The AI concierge is designed to be helpful, but it’s not infallible. It may occasionally give outdated, incomplete, or incorrect information — especially if your property knowledge base isn’t kept current. For anything safety-critical (emergency procedures, medical info, legal requirements), always verify independently and don’t rely solely on AI-generated responses. We’re not liable for guest decisions made based on AI responses.

Subscription and billing

HostOps operates on a subscription model. Pricing details are available on our website and within your account dashboard. A few things to know:

  • Subscriptions are billed per property per month (pricing subject to change with 30 days notice)
  • Early access pricing is locked in for the duration of your early access period
  • You can cancel anytime — your access continues through the end of your billing period
  • We don't offer refunds for partial months, but we're reasonable people — if something goes wrong, reach out
  • Pricing details TBD — check hostops.ai for current plans

Intellectual property

The content you add to HostOps (property descriptions, house rules, photos, etc.) is yours. You grant us a license to use it to operate the service — to train your concierge, generate responses, and power the product you’re paying for. We don’t claim ownership of your content, and we won’t use your property-specific content to train AI models for other customers without your permission.

Limitation of liability

We work hard to keep HostOps reliable, but we can’t guarantee it’ll always be perfect.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, ResponseOps LLC is not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of HostOps — including but not limited to: guest disputes resulting from AI responses, revenue losses from service downtime, or data loss. Our total liability to you for any claim will not exceed the amount you’ve paid us in the 3 months preceding the claim. This doesn’t affect any rights you have under consumer protection laws that can’t be excluded by contract.

Termination

You can close your account anytime from your account settings or by emailing us.

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms, are used for illegal purposes, or pose a risk to other users or the platform. We’ll try to give you notice and a chance to resolve issues before terminating, except in cases of serious violations where immediate action is necessary. Upon termination, your data will be deleted per our Privacy Policy.

Changes to these terms

We may update these Terms as the product evolves. If we make material changes, we’ll notify you by email at least 14 days before they take effect. Continuing to use HostOps after that means you accept the new Terms.

Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, United States. Any disputes will be handled in the courts of California, unless we mutually agree otherwise.
